Forest Families Parents & Carers

Forest Families Parents And Carers By The FireOur parents and carers sessions are a lifeline for many carers, who meet under the trees to talk, craft and eat together.  This is peer to peer support at its best, with the added benefits of natural healing that being in woodland can bring. Parents and carers drop in to join us at weekly sessions throughout the year.  Here they can meet others in similar situations, hear how other carers have coped with all sorts of challenges that come with raising a neurospicy family.  Over and over again, parents and carers tell us that they and their children are isolated or have been misunderstood in mainstream school or other environments.  In this space, the joys and troubles of our familys’ lives are welcomed with empathy and care. Long lasting and deep friendships are often the welcome result of attendance.

Parents and Carers meets regularly during term time on Thursdays in Flintshire and Fridays in Ruthin. (booking links)
